We have started work on our custom Manta class – “AGDVehicle_Manta”. Initially this will allow the designers to easily tweak the properties of the Manta from within the UDK editor, without having to edit the code directly. This helps streamline the vehicle tweaking process and thus allows more time to be spent on other areas of the project.
Once we have found good values for how we would like the Manta to handle (essentially like a submarine), we will update these in our class file as the default values. After that we can add our custom weapon behaviors and other functions into the custom Manta class progressively over time, which is what we will be working on next.
